Recovery Meetings in DC?

Recovery in DC (12-Step)

There are over one hundred 12-step meetings in DC each week. These meetings can provide you with a community of supportive ‘fellow travelers’, relief from dependency and emotional instability, and a new design for living.

12-Step Programs include:

  • Alcoholics Anonymous
  • Narcotics Anonymous
  • Marijuana Anonymous
  • Family and Friends of Alcoholics (Al-anon)
  • Co-Dependents Anonymous
  • Overeaters Anonymous
  • And more!
Keep in mind:

You do not need to believe that you are an “alcoholic” or “addict” to attend meetings. If you have the desire to stop your problem behavior or are curious about how 12 step meetings work, you are welcome to check out a meeting!

While the 12-steps do use the term ‘God’, the program does not align with any religion or set of beliefs but rather encourages you to create or find your own Higher Power or sense of spirituality as part of your recovery journey.
