Primary Care

  • Abdominal complaints

  • ADD/ADHD medication management

  • Cuts/Lacerations—stitches not available; Dermabond (glue) available, if applicable
  • Headaches

  • Prescription refills
  • Referrals for radiology services

  • Respiratory infections
  • Skin rashes
  • Smoking cessation programs
  • Suture removal

Women's Health

  • Contraception counseling and prescriptions for contraceptive pills,
  • Depo-Provera injections, Nuvaring (We do not place IUDs/Nexplanons, but referral is available)
  • Menstrual issues
  • Pregnancy testing and referrals for management
  • Referrals to Gynecology for annual exams/Pap smears, IUDs/Nexplanon, and other complex gynecologic problems

LGBTQ+ Health

  • STI Testing/Screening/Treatment/Counseling
  • Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PreP)
  • Post-exposure Prophylaxis (PEP):  (medical students should go to the GW ER for occupational PEP)
  • Referrals for transgender care to initiate hormorne treatment
  • Maintenance of hormonal treatment for transgender care

 

Sexual Health

  • STI Testing/Screening/Treatment/Counseling
  • PrEP and PEP

 

Nursing Visits

  • Vaccines for immunization compliance and as recommended by the CDC
  • TB testing
  • Titers
  • Pre-travel advice/immunizations/prescriptions
  • Administration of injectable medications (students bring their previously prescribed medication in to the clinic for injection: Depo-Provera, testosterone, etc)
